30 day smoothie challenge ( migraine relief smoothie )


Day 2: Migraine Relief Smoothie

2 cups watermelon
½ celery rib
6 basil leaves
½ cup water

Health Benefits:

So you may have heard that hydration can be key in helping reduce headaches, including migraines, and this has been confirmed by research reviewed in a recent publication of Neurology. Watermelon has a high water content that is easily absorbed into the body and so amazing for hydrating your cells!

And we weren’t forgetting the inflammation factor when we created this smoothie either. Celery contains abundant amounts of the plant flavonoid luteolin which has been reported to have potent anti-inflammatory properties, including in brain cells which could potentially help to prevent or relieve migraines.
